Rising 9th graders will hang out with the high school this summer.  So, any events that say high school, you are invited to attend. Any rising 6th grader may participate in both Ms. Ida’s activities and youth activities. 

1. Wild Adventures Day is May 31.  We will leave at 8am from the church and return at approximately 10pm. The cost for the day is $75. This covers transportation, Splash Island and all the rides as well as:(1) Meal, (2) Snacks, (1) 2024 Souvenir Cup w/ Free Refills. A Christian band, Newsboys, will also be doing a concert at 8pm.  If youth want to stay for this we will do that. 2.  We will also have Bible Study time on Wednesdays that don’t conflict with camp, mission trip etc.  Middle school will meet from 5:30-7pm and high school will meet from 7-8:30pm. 3. The youth have been asked to help with VBS June 3-7.  The is a sign up that will be sent to sign up for where you would like to help. It will be from 5:30-8pm. 4.  Middle school girls asked for a “Day to Dive into the Bible”.  I had already planned to meet with them on June 12 for a “Day to Dig”, but the MS girls didn’t want to wait. So, we are meeting Wednesday, May 8 from 5-7 to get started. 14.  The Youth Advisory Council and Youth Leadership Team have worked together to plan a weekend retreat for July 26-28.  This will be at Lake Seminole. We have been given the opportunity to use 3 houses in which we will house everyone.  We will need lots of help so let Lisa know if you would like to help. EVENT:    ENCOUNTER YOUTH RETREAT

WHERE:  EPWORTH BY THE SEA

Encounter is a weekend retreat designed for 6th - 12th grade students where everyone will ENCOUNTER God, and each in a very unique way. This retreat will offer passionate worship, relevant Bible study and a meaningful time with other teens in beautiful coastal Georgia.    
REGISTRATION - will open Summer 2024.
How it works: Registrations will be pending until full payment is received. Payment is required within 7 days of registering and $50 of the registration fee is non-refundable. Churches will register as a group and fill out individual camper's information within the same registration. Online payment is preferred; however, mailed church checks only (no personal checks) are acceptable. Make payable to "South GA Conference UMC" and mail to Encounter Youth Retreat, PO Box 7227, Macon, GA 31209. (Please specify that the money is for Encounter registration.)
